Jane for Council

I'm Jane Sullwold, and I’m running for City Council.

I have served on the Alameda Golf Commission for seven years, the last five as chair.  In that role, I led the efforts to preserve the City’s municipal golf complex from dismemberment by a developer and to secure its future by selecting an ecologically sound, California-based long-term operator.

I am running because I believe I can attack the problems facing the City using the same skills and approach that led to a successful outcome at the Golf Complex.  I will ensure that the public gets input into – not just information about – important decisions.  I will entertain all views and consider all options.  And I will adopt a position not to further my political ambitions – I have none – but to promote the goals of preserving our heritage and securing our future.

I would welcome your support.
